Self-tapes have taken over as the standard form of auditioning. In this class, you will learn what you will need and how to set yourself up to give the best audition possible.

Preparation: Use your regular self-tape set-up for class, and Robby will give you personal feedback on what the best set-up is for you. If you do not have any self-tape equipment or do not know how to film a self-tape, no worries. That’s what this class is for!
Director’s Cut

This class focuses on analyzing and understanding scene work by reviewing A-List movies and individual scenes. You will gain the skills needed to do any scene by breaking down how to analyze a script and how to work the camera to your best advantage. Every class will be different, as new works will be dissected each week, so you can sign up for as many classes as you’d like!

Acting on the Spectrum

A class we are MOST excited about! This class is designed to help those throughout the Autistic Spectrum navigate the neurotypical world, using the same techniques actors use to hone their craft. Our instructor Robby Clater was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at 15 years old. He has since then been able to cultivate a successful acting career across Broadway and TV. Grow and maintain meaningful relationships in personal settings, and calmly and quickly adapt to changes in professional settings by using the transferable skills he learned while training to work as an actor.

Never Sacrifice the Acting

This exclusive course focuses on TV/Film audition material. Robert gives personalized feedback for both the work specific to the scene and the work specific to the actor. Learn to differentiate acting techniques and blend them to create the best method for you. For educational and training purposes, we will do our best to ensure that all actors receive footage of their scene work.

Preparation: For the first week of class, bring in your own scene (2-3 pages max) that you believe showcases you best. The following weeks will be a mixture of working on self-prepared and assigned material, so be flexible and ready for anything!
Zoomettes
with
Karla Mosley and Natalie Kaye Clater
(2-Day Online Class)
Work on our virtual set! During this 2-day intensive, audition to become a part of an intimate cast and film a scene over Zoom. Every Zoomette is unique unto itself, assigning a script to fit each individual cast. This series is great for sharpening those skills, networking, and expanding your resume. All cast members will receive footage of the final scene.

Preparation: Make sure you’ve sent in your audition material first, and see if you’ve been cast! Prior to class, you will receive your assigned scene and you will need to be off-book by the first class, ready to work on our virtual set!
Studio 127
with
Robert Clater and Karla Mosley
(6-Week Online Intensive)
Work on our virtual set! Similar to our Zoomettes, Studio 127 is a successful program 10 years in the making. Studio 127 is a dramatic web-series that follows the lives and sometimes surprising relationships of a group of high school students and young adults who attend the famous “Studio 127 Performing Arts Studio.” The program has given our alumni the basics to become the professional working performers they are today. During this 6-week course, you will audition to be cast in a short web series. Every series we produce is unique, designing a script to fit each individual group of actors. This course is great for sharpening those skills, networking, and expanding your resume. All cast members will receive footage of the final “series.”

Preparation: Double check that you have sent in your audition material to be approved. Once you have been cast, it’s time to get to work on our virtual set! Set up your best lighting and have your camera ready because you will be filming scene work in your own home!
AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Create your profile (if you have not already).
2. Film a self-tape of either a 1-minute monologue or a scene of your choice.
3. In your self-tape, include a slate. Pleas state your name, age (if under 18), where you are currently based, the specific class (Zoomettes or Studio 127) and class dates you are auditioning for.
4. Upload your headshot, resume, and self-tape to the corresponding dropbox link:

General Information
Once you’ve registered, you will receive an email 5 days before the class. The email will include reminders about the class, the zoom link, and further details. If you have any more questions, please email us at info@claterkaye.com.
Cancellation Policy
You must cancel 72 hours prior to your class in order to receive a 100% refund. Any cancellations within 72 hours of the class will not receive a refund but will get class credit, which you will have exactly 1 year to use for any class.
Zoomettes
You must cancel 1 week prior to your class in order to receive a 100% refund. Any cancellations within 1 week of the intensive will not receive a refund but will get class credit, which you will have exactly 1 year to use for any class.
Studio 127
You must cancel 2 weeks prior to your class in order to receive a 100% refund. Any cancellations within 2 weeks of the intensive will not receive a refund but will receive $225 dollars in class credit, which you will have exactly 1 year to use for any class.
